Short Films
With a combination of hands-on experience and formal education, I learned the fundamentals of videography and storytelling from my father and the Ohio Media School. When my life path placed me in prison on charges of aggravated robbery for a total of 7.5 years, I was given the opportunity to write and direct a short film with the assistance of a Wright State University Film Professor. That year my film went to the Cleveland International Film Festival. During my incarceration and since my release I have been actively involved in film, video and many other forms of art. I fully intend on mastering my craft by exploring different techniques in multiple genres of art. I am passionate about artistic expression and its therapeutic benefits, as well as using art as a platform to dismantle the system that abuses Black and Brown bodies, especially women’s bodies, at a disproportionate rate. With each film, I aim to lend you my glasses so you can see things from a new perspective
